I’m back! I know there was a whole lot of radio silence here on Louella Reese the last couple of weeks. This gal needed to step away and I really wanted to enjoy the time off of work with family + friends. I wanted to live in the moment and not be staring at a screen all afternoon or evening. It was nice to step back, refresh, and come back to my passion! How was your time off? Y’all take any exciting trips? Joshua and I spent Christmas in Georgia with his family and then headed to Nashville to ring in 2016 with huge group of friends. It was a wonderful, exhausting, and delicious time!
In November, Joshua, some friends, and I made our way to Lexington Kentucky for a UNC-Charlotte football game. We decided to do a little bourbon tasting along the way. I am in NO WAY a fan of bourbon. I actually can’t stand the smell of it but the hubby to be is a big fan as well as one of our best friends. So I was the designated driver as the guys lived out their bourbon dreams 🙂 haha. I have to admit it was a lot of fun though to see the historic buildings and hear all about the bourbon making process…it’s quite the process!

For our adventure down the bourbon trail I layered up as the temperatures were dropping pretty quickly! If you haven’t noticed via instagram {@louellareese} I’ve been a big fan of this Old Navy scarf recently. There pretty much hasn’t been a single pattern I haven’t paired it with. This post case and point 🙂 haha. This tee has also been on repeat. Perfect for layering!
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to try Ray Ban Clubmasters and the last go around with DITTO I decided to give them a try. I’m kind of in love! They’re completely different than my Prada shades and obviously have a nice vintage feel. I’ll be holding onto these for some time, that’s for sure. Try out DITTO yourself with code LOUELLA for your first month free.
I loved this post because I visited Louisville, KY, for an internship this summer, and one of the events at the conference that I worked at was a bourbon tasting for all the attendees!! Bourbon is definitely an interesting process and so unique to Kentucky.
Sounds like a super fun trip! 🙂
