“For is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourself, it is the grace of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9
God’s grace is one of those beautiful things I am amazed by daily. Sometimes it truly causes me to stop in my tracks, pause, and say wow! There have been many times I know I didn’t deserve the grace of God either by the way I acted, something I said, or what I did. But there it was.
It’s an incredible feeling to know you are so loved that you receive grace on a daily basis even when you’ve committed sin. While this is no reason to continue sinning when you know that it is wrong. It does allow you to know that God is there. There is someone that loves you so much, through good and bad, your ups and downs. This someone loved you so much that He sent His only son to die for your sins. So all of our sins could be forgiven.
Does that not just completely blow you away?
I also think about His grace when I am going through a rough patch or am down and something wonderful happens. I know he placed that event, person, or thing in my life to lift me up. His grace is a beautiful thing. Something that should never be taken for grated and one that should be reflected on regularly! I believe reflecting on His grace has allowed me to realize how truly blessed I am.
