I am so excited about today’s post! Last year I put together a virtual cookie exchange with some of my best blogger babes. We had such a great time sharing some of our favorite recipes and I heard a lot of awesome feedback from y’all, so we’re back at it again! I’m excited to introduce a couple new blogger babes to the group as well. I hope you all enjoy the cookie exchange again this year and find some inspiration for new cookies to whip up for your loved ones. We would also love to hear some of your favorite recipes! Leave them in the comment section below.

I whipped up this recipe for my Christmas brunch the other week {my the full brunch menu here}. Since these cookies are similar to tea cookies, they have a shortbread texture, I felt they were appropriate for brunch. Dessert is always appropriate, right? I definitely think so! These particular cookies are extremely light and perfectly sweet. They’re a little different from my typical cookie choice but y’all I’m a fan! I definitely recommend giving these a try over the holiday season. Your family will absolutely appreciate it!
The way this cookie exchange works is each blogger will feature another blogger and their recipe at the bottom of their post {Spoiler alert, my feature blogger is Katie from A Touch of Teal}. There you will find a photo, their recipe name, and a link to their site. There are a total of ten blogger participating in today’s virtual cookie tour. I highly recommend following the chain, checking them all out, and finding your favorite recipe!
Hope y’all enjoy!
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
- Mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Add flour and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon balls of dough and place on prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake cookies for 8-9 minutes until bottoms are just slightly brown.
- Remove from oven and cool for just one minute.
- Place on a rack to cool.
- Enjoy!
Now it’s time to head over to the next bloggers site to check out their cookie recipe! Next up is Katie from A Touch of Teal. I met Katie at The Blog Socieity Conference two years agao and ever since I’ve been kind of obsessed with this gal! She’s beyond hilarious and has the most entertaining snapchat/instagram stories. I definitely recommend following her if you already. She’s also the sweetest thing ever! I feel like her Gingersnap cookies match her personality perfectly, sweet with a little fiery punch. Go check out her recipe here.
These look delicious and definitely can’t forget that milk!
