Hope y’all had great weekends celebrating your moms {or celebrating yourself if you are a mom, mom to be, or hoping to be blessed with a child soon}! We were lucky enough to spend time with BOTH of our moms and Joshua’s grandma too. A wonderful weekend filled with family!

Since last week’s post highlighting Six Ways to Style a Bandana this Summer was such a hit, I’m kicking off this week with Three Skirts Styled Three Ways! Another post from Cataloochee Ranch, highlighting items packed and worn for the trip. Told y’all, packing for this trip was my favorite!

But really, I wanted to showcase how easy it is to pack light and create several outfits. With a couple of base pieces {built around three skirts} I created 9 looks for our trip!

So let’s dive right in…

#1 Chambray Midi Skirt

This was probably my favorite piece that I purchased for our trip to the ranch. It is comfy, lightweight, and goes with just about everything. One of those fabulous pieces that is so easy to dress up or down!

Sizing: True to size. I tried on a 0 and 2 and ended up going with the 2. While the 0 fit, I knew after a big meal I’d be wishing I grabbed the 2 haha. I was correct too! After our first big dinner at Cataloochee Ranch I was THRILLED about the little extra space! We’ve all been there before, right?!

Three Ways to Style:

Wear with a simple white tee shirt. This creates an easy base to play with your accessories or be ultra casual for a weekend of running errands and hanging with the family.

Tie up a button down shirt. This combination is a little more fun and flirty! While also being comfortable. Opt for a brighter hue to play up that fun and flirty feel!

Can’t go wrong with stripes! Grab your favorite striped tee or tank and tuck it into the chambray shirt. Another easy look with a little bit of a preppy vibe.

#2 Denim Skirt

You’ve seen this skirt a couple times on Louella Reese recently {here and here} and to be honest, you’ll probably see a lot more of it! Denim skirts are back and they’re staying. I’m not surprised due to how comfy they are and much like the chambray midi skirt, they go with just about everything!

Sizing: True to size. For denim I’m usually a 26 or 27 and opted for a 26 with this skirt. Fits perfectly! Fitted but not too tight.

Three Ways to Style:

Pair with a classic white tee shirt for a simple {summer} jeans and a tee combination. Add some summer accessories like your favorite sandals, a wide brim straw hat, and a tote for all your farmers market goodies!

Keep it simple {and cool} with a linen button down shirt tied up and your favorite booties. An easy combination that can take you from day to night.

Grab that favorite striped tee of yours again. Opt to go full on country with a bandana and booties! Perfect for those summer country concerts!

#3 Gingham Maxi Skirt

This skirt has been a favorite of mine since December. While I loved it then, I’m crazy about it now! Styling the skirt for summer is an absolute blast and you may have noticed my obsession with it via IG stories. I can’t stop wearing it!

Sizing: Runs big, order down a size. I’m wearing a size small here. Unfortunately, that’s as small as the brand goes so I made it work but an extra small would have been ideal. If you’re in between sizes definitely choose the smaller size.

Three Ways to Style:

The easiest way to style the skirt, a basic white tee shirt. Keeps the look neutral and dresses down the skirt for weekday or weekend afternoons. Add a bandana scarf as a headband {see here how to do} for a sweet little addition.

Tie up that bright colored linen button down shirt, grab your favorite booties, and maybe throw on a hat for another fun, flirty look. Pink looks amazing with this skirt and really makes the gingham pattern {and the pink} pop!

This last look has been my absolute uniform lately. Seriously, I’ve reached for it more times then not over the last two weeks. It’s easy, comfy, and receives SO many compliments EVERY time I wear it! The pattern mixing is so fun – aka throw on your favorite striped tee with it!
