Just so you know, you’re laying eyes on my most favorite maxi dress ever! It was immediate love at first sight when I laid eyes on this number. In case you aren’t a religious follower of Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam like I am, this is one of the dresses from her initial dress collection launch. Yes, it has taken me since late April to share this number. But it was worth the wait, wasn’t it?
Anyways, I thought it would be appropriate to share this week as her June collection launches on Wednesday. And I am SO excited to see it! Are you like me, refreshing nordstrom.com and shop.galmeetsglam.com nonstop around launch time? Each time.
Back to this beautiful floral maxi number, it is the most perfect dress for a summer wedding! From the sweet floral pattern to the feminine ruffle sleeves, this dress is stunning! And bound to make you second best dressed at any wedding {obviously coming in after the bride}.
If you haven’t shopped or tried on a Gal Meets Glam dress before, I would recommend ordering your typical size and one size up. With this dress, I am wearing a size 2 {my typical size} but with another dress from her line {this one}, a size 4 was a much better fit.

Another reason this dress is perfect for summer weddings is it’s light, airy, and very comfortable. Perfect for those outdoor weddings and cutting it up on the dance floor!
Speaking of dancing the night away, I opted to wear my hair up with this dress. As that is exactly what I would do for a wedding. Since so many weddings are fully outdoors now a days {or at least the ceremony or reception} I want my hair off my neck and out of my face! Especially when it comes to dancing! If you haven’t tried a milkmaid braid before, I highly recommend it. The braid immediately elevates your look and is bound to have you receiving compliments all night look! I will warn you, it takes quite a bit of practice. Watch youtube videos!
