Sweater weather isn’t going anywhere any time soon! Even if you live in spots with warmer climates January and February are typically the colder months. And if they are a bit warmer there still always seems to be a chill in the air. The kind that calls for a cozy sweater to wrap up in.
January and February always tend to be the time of year we find ourselves in a little fashion rut…maybe a big one! We find ourselves over our winter wardrobe and seriously craving spring. So I’m here today to give you a little inspiration to spice up your winter wardrobe and help make the transition from winter to spring a little more fun!
With Four Casual Sweater Looks to Wear right now!
1.Feminine, Classic, and Perfectly Sweet!
This is the dressiest of the looks but still counts as a casual look in my fashion book. A sweet ivory cropped sweater and wide-leg crop pants paired with a classic pair of oxfords. Which provide a slightly preppy touch to the look. To up the feminine feel, a top handle handbag with a silk scarf wrapped around the handle.
Wear to: church, brunch, date night, dinner with the parents.
2. Playful & Preppy
This is the look I put together when I scooped up the polka dot sweater, corduroys, and striped headband. I loved the playful look they created. Paired again with the oxfords for a preppy feel. Which the headband also plays into. For a little more fun (because girls always wanna have more fun) a unique handbag in coordinating colors.
Wear to: work, bowling, church, weekend day date, Sunday brunch with the fam.
3. Everyday Playful
Taylor (from Reese’s Hardware) styled the same wide leg corduroy pants with a different polka sweater and knotted headband. Similar stylings but a very different look when paired with cognac booties, oversized denim jacket, and brown leather tote. A little more everyday with a playful touch.
Wear to: work, drinks with the gals (or your man), meet your friends for dinner.
4. Everyday Casual
The most casual of the four and the easiest to recreate (not that any of these are hard to). A polka dot cardigan paired with your most comfortable mom jeans, favorite sneakers, and the tote that’ll carry everything you need plus some! To look a little more pulled together complete the look with a knotted headband…the accessory of the season.
Wear to: run errands, school pick-up, brewery hopping, the movies, and just about every where else that’s part of your day to day schedule.
I love all your sweaters! The grey sweater, jeans, sneaks, and tote look is my fav!
