My Favorite Workout Wear & Go to Activewear Brands

After talking about workouts yesterday, I thought I should dive into workout wear. Including my personal favorite workout wear and go to activewear brands. Great (and cute) workout wear only increases your desire to workout, may increase your performance, and makes sure you are properly supported! Trust me when I say I have tried a lot of workout wear from a variety of brands and the ones below are the clear winners of each category!

Favorite Workout Bras

I have two brands I absolutely love for workout bras – Calia and Fabletics. Every single one of my workout bras are from one of these two brands. Personally, I think Calia is better for high-impact/high-intensity workouts. While Fabletics has great options for lower-impact workouts.

For reference, I am a 30D and like my workout bras to fit quite tight when it comes to high-impact/high-intensity workouts. I want serious support and minimal movement. When walking or partaking in yoga I typically go a little looser and opt for bras with no padding/cups. Just super simple and minimal workout bras but those that still offer great support.

Favorite Workout Shorts

So I feel as though I am in the minority when I say this BUT I HATE working out in leggings/pants. The only exception is when I am practicing yoga. Otherwise it is 100% shorts for this gal. I use to reach for nike shorts 10 of 10 times but recently I have really been loving biker shorts! They are so comfortable to wear, very breathable, and offer a little more coverage. Their biker shorts fit true to size – I am typically a 2 or 4 in shorts/pants and own a pair in each size – love the fit of both.

My go to nikes have also started to be replaced by calia and athleta shorts. They just bit better, have wider waist bands, and honestly are more comfortable.

Favorite Workout Tops

Calia is my jam for workout tops! They’re comfortable, lightweight, breathable, and simple. Everything you need in a great workout top!

Side Tie T-Shirt

 Everyday Tank Top

Flow Ruched Side Racerback Tank Top

Diamond Mesh Long Sleeve Shirt

I am also loving this easy sweatshirt – ordered it earlier in September and have already ordered a second one. Fit is true to size but if you want a more oversized fit I would recommend sizing up. I ordered the first one in a small and the second in a medium.

Favorite Athletic Sneakers

After getting married Joshua turned me onto the Brooks brand and I haven’t turned back since. They are so comfortable, incredibly supportive, and have so many options available. I love that they work for taking walks, doing strength training, and HIIT workouts. Linking a few of my favorites below – ones I own now and/or have owned in the past.

Considering I don’t workout, don’t know if I can “really” speak to this question – but, I love Fabletics and Old Navy activewear for lounging! haha

I really haven’t experimented with much activewear or workout wear because I don’t workout as often as I’d like. I love Adore Me for sports bras, and Chicwish has some great biker shorts and leggings. I’m still on the hunt for favorite tops though, so it’s good to know about Calia!
