Over the years I have grown to love Valentine’s Day more and more. Not that I ever didn’t love it, just my love for it has grown even stronger. I also love the weeks that surround the holiday. All the lovey commercials, adorable cards, sweet treats and feminine things. What’s not to love about a day dedicated to love?
Joshua and I typically do a special little evening at home. We cook dinner and enjoy it by candlelight with glasses of prosecco. Afterwards we exchange cards and either spend the rest of the evening dancing, watching a rom-com or a little of both.
The last several years I have also celebrated the holiday with my girl friends – Galentine’s Day as it is now appropriately called. Have you joined in on the new holiday? I think celebrating with girlfriends is what has increased my love year or over for the holiday.
