Sharing why it was so important to purchased pieces you absolutely love and sometimes forget about them being trendy. Like this heart pom cardigan, for me!

So truthfully I didn’t actually buy the item I’m talking about (the heat pom cardigan) BUT totally would have if my sister didn’t buy it for me for Christmas. Yep, best sister ever, love ya Shan!
I did however, buy my first heart pom sweater (a cropped short sleeve pullover version) when on a media trip in Bentonville, Arkansas. You can see the sweater styled with a maxi skirt and with chambray + corduroys. So I did already know I was a fan of the trend. To be honest (again) when I spotted the original heart pom sweater in Bentonville, I wanted it BAD! However, I was super nervous it would turn out to be an impulse buy and I’d be upset with myself. So I snapped some photos, shared them with y’all via IG stories and asked your opinion. Majority of you said buy it AND THEN Joshua sent me a DM and said buy the sweater. SOLD. DONE deal. When the husband says buy it, you buy it!
So that’s how I ended up with my first heart pom sweater and what lead to the obsession. Good story right? Do I owe you twenty bucks? haha.

In all seriousness though, thinking about purchasing that sweater and receiving the heart pom cardigan featured in today’s post, makes me realize how important it is to buy pieces you REALLY love! Pieces that excite you, bring a smile to your face, and make you want to reach for them more times then not. These are the pieces that make fashion FUN! That bring joy to getting dressed and showing the world your personal style, your personality!
So I say BUY THE SWEATER or jeans or t-shirt or coat or shoes or handbag or whatever it is that absolutely excites you when you see it. Buy it, rock it, and have fun with your fashion! After all, what you wear really does reflect you and if you’re loving what you’re wearing, people are going to see that shine through!

I love the way you thought this through. It’s true that if you absolutely love something you should definitely just go for it. That way you know you’ll get plenty of wear out of it!
Exactly! You then know it is not an impulse buy.

I have this sweater in two colors because I wear it so much! I feel this way about my Brixton hats too. I have the same one in four colors since it’s my daily uniform!
Same girl – except the same color just different styles haha. Oh I LOVE Brixton hats! I only have one though, I need to get on your level!

I love this and I so agree! Over the years I have tried only purchasing things that were a certain “style” but it’s so much more fun to just buy what you love!
