In case you missed it, last week I shared our fall mantle. A space I could not be more in love with. I started with a few classic pieces as my base and added pieces with texture, warmth, and neutral colors. The end result is warm and inviting. The overall feeling I am for in our home decor. Our fall tablescape is no different! Other than it may be even warmer with more natural touches as well includes another favorite of mine, antique pieces.
Natural Traditional Fall Tablescape
I began with a linen tablecloth to serve as my neutral base. To add depth and texture I placed a woven table runner over the tablecloth.
The plate stack is simple with white salad and dinner plates. The napkins provide pattern and interest with the varying patterns and colors. I opted to alternate between simple beige & ivory stripes and white & green buffalo check. Both topped with mini off-white pumpkins. I love the natural touch and cozy fall feel they provide.
To center and ground the table, I filled a leather bound vase with dried hydrangeas from our yard (you may remember them from the mantle). Additionally a few stacks of books to add a cozy traditional feel. Atop one stack of books I placed a vintage brass case filled with fresh moss grass. On the other stack I placed one of the candlesticks, a vintage brass duck, and a vintage wicker duck basket that I also filled with fresh moss grass.
The book stack displays really steal the show and I honestly could not love them more. All of these items we had in our home and I was able to give them brand new life on the table. I love incorporating pieces we already have in home to save money, time, and make me fall in love with them all over again!
The glasses in amber provide additional warmth to the table and tie in perfectly with the leather bound vase. Additionally, I alternated wine glasses around the table – using both stemless and stemmed glasses to again add additional depth and height to the table.

To complete the table, I added a few antique brass candlesticks (three are part of a set, the fourth is vintage) with green tapered candles. Once lit they add real warmth to the table.
While we are not hosting Thanksgiving at our home this year, I believe this fall tablescape would make for the ideal Thanksgiving set up! From the color palette to the warmth of the space. I imagine hours of conversation while enjoying all of Thanksgiving offerings!
Ummm table GOALS! Is that even a thing? I’m making it a thing. I adore how you’ve decorated your table. And it’s so fun to see all the little antiques you’ve shown on your stories incorporated throughout! It looks beautiful!
All of this table decor is so amazing! If I had this I would want to have dinner parties all the time!
I still don’t know how Thanksgiving is going down this year but love the warm and simple touches of this tablescape! xoxo, Sarah
