FOR THE HOME

Again this month, the only item purchased for our home was some beautiful roses from the hubs for Valentine’s Day. They are allstar roses too – they have lasted over two weeks. We did receive a vintage chest from a friend and have added that to our guest room. I am hardcore obsessed and feel it absolutely makes the space! Will be sharing an update of the guest room soon – once we get one more piece to finish it off.

WHERE I WENT

NYC for NYFW – This was my second year/second season attending NYFW and it was just as magical as the first. This year offered a couple new opportunities such as going backstage to meet with Frankie Boyd (makeup) + Braydon Nelson (hair). Who created the looks for the Chen Peng fashion show. Both guys were incredibly sweet and created amazing looks – Morgan and I were blown away! We also had the opportunity to sit front row for the first time ever and y’all, we were overcome with excitement and gratitude. It was like every dream of mine coming true (seriously, dreamt of that moment since I was a tiny tot).

Aside from the fashion, we had the opportunity to explore the city a bit. We went shopping and ate lots! Which was a nice change of pace from last year as we barely ate due to our busy schedules. This year we tacked on an extra day so we could spread things out a bit more. One of the highlights of getting the opportunity to explore more, Levain Bakery‘s cookies (the one pictured above). Hands down the best cookie I’ve ever had and if you’re in the city, you NEED to make it a priority to get one.

MOVIES WATCHED

The BlackKKlansman – this movie was incredible! John David Washington and Adam Driver were amazing together. I mean seriously one of the best duos ever, they were casted perfectly. The movie is thought provoking, interesting, hilarious (at times), and suspenseful. I would HIGHLY recommend this one!

RECIPES TRIED

Easy Meatballs – they are just that, easy! While also being incredibly tasty. Will definitely be making these often! A great recipe for low carb day – for those of you one FWTFL

WHAT I WATCHED

We are back to watching most of our shows – Lethal Weapon and This is Us. Also, Grey’s Anatomy for me. Plus The Carrie Diaries while doing cardio at the gym. To be honest, the series was kind of a struggle to get into at first but now I’m totally hooked. And madly obsessed with Sebastian. Can we all agree that Austin Butler is such a stud and Vanessa Hudgens is one lucky lady!

FITNESS UPDATE

I am still doing FASTer Way to Fat Loss. As mentioned last month, I am down three denim sizes and can notice a significant difference in my body. I’ve now been on the program for 3 months. Recently, I haven’t been able to workout consistently due to a knee injury. So the only body parts getting a workout are my arms, back, and chest. I desperately miss cardio and HIIT – hopefully I’ll be back to it soon. Otherwise, I’m sticking to the carb cycling and intermittent fasting. If you’re interested in finding out. more about FWTFL you can read about my FWTFL experience, FWTFL vs. BBG, and low carb day tips/recommendations  – all on my health & fitness page
